About us
MediaPro Pictures is Romania's leading producer of
entertainment. Our activity focuses on television and film
production.
Founded in 1998, we have set landmark after landmark in the
history of Romanian entertainment: the first local telenovela
("Only Love", 2004), the first local sitcom ("Neighbors Forever",
2005), the first local police series ("Good Guys", 2005), the
highest-grossing Romanian motion picture after 1990 ("Garcea, the
Dumbest Cop on Earth", 2001), the first local spin-off ("Tears of
Love", 2006) and the legendary street concerts aired live on Pro TV
every New Year's Eve.

Feature films
Over the years MediaPro Pictures has managed to release both
productions for mass audiences (such as "HoHoHo" or "Poker") and productions
intended to appeal to a more exclusive public - like the
high-profile drama "California Dreamin'
(Endless)", which was awarded the prize "Un Certain Regard" at
the Cannes Film Festival in 2007.
MediaPro Pictures is an active coproducer in the Eastern
European film market. We financed "Roming" (2007), "At Your Own
Risk" (2008), "Rodinka: Just a Normal Family" (2008) and "Zmiana:
An Unexpected Sex Change" (2008). We also boast having coproduced
feature films such as: "Amen" (2002), "Callas Forever" (2002),
"Modigliani" (2004), "An American Haunting" (2005), "Joyeux Noël"
(2005); and TV movies like "Sex Traffic" (2004) and "Gunpowder,
Treason and Plot" (2004).
