On Monday, July 26, started the shootings for the newest MediaPro Pictures production, the television movie "Las Fierbinti". The director is Dragos Buliga, one of our old collaborators who put his name in projects like "Here comes the police!", "Ambientalia" and many commercials and video clips.

The story is a rural comedy in which the intrigues associated with the upcoming elections in a small village start a ridiculous war; in the end everything proves to be in vain. The Mayor, Vasile the vice-mayor, Bobita the bartender and his brother - Dorel and the sublime Giani, who just returned from work in Italy, are the protagonists of some typical Romanian peasants' absurd situations. While the first two are competing for the mayor seat the others group in sides of sympathizers, according to their interests. On one hand are Bobita and Giani, who plan some dubious business with Vasile, on the other hand is policeman Doroftei who, also motivated by the burning passion for the mayor's daughter, exposes all the dirty scams.

Main characters are played by some of the most appreciated Romanian comedians of the new generation: Radu Gabriel and Gheorghe Ifrim as the Mayor and the vice-mayor. Mihai Bobonete and Mihai Rat Dragomir are bartender Bobita and his brother Dorel, and Costi Dita plays a juicy Giani. The object of all men desire is Gianina, played by debutante Anca Dumitra, while her number one fan, policeman Doroftei, is performed by Leonid Doni. Most of the actors from this team (cast and crew) worked together before in "Here comes the police" (2008).

Everybody was very well prepared, so the shooting started as naturally as like they never stopped, contrary to Dragos Buliga's affirmation that "the first day is always more difficult because it's a big difference between rehearsals in the studio, without final make-up and costumes, and the atmosphere on the set. Now we also feel the pressure of being on schedule!" The shooting started even with the first scenes of the movie, when we meet everybody. Giani just returned from Italy and now boasts about his adventures abroad. He meets his old friend, Bobita, and together they plan an explosive business in the village. Bobita's boozer is in fact the place where all the plans are made and all the talks are talked, being visited by everybody, the Mayor and the vice-mayor, even Gianina comes from now and then to buy some spirits for her father.

The shootings will last 2 weeks and will take place in Fierbintii de Jos village. The movie is made for PRO TV who plans to broadcast it in the beginning of 2011.
